lets talk: vision boards

One of my favorite ways to be intentional is to create a vision board for the upcoming season. Whether you do this monthly or quarterly, I truly believe it is a great practice. As a mom, business owner, and also just a guuurl with my own hobbies and interests I love setting aside some time to focus on the kind of season (and life) I want to create.

when and how to vision board

How? I use Pinterest. I can’t help it, I love it. Follow me over on Pinterest here

I have some personal Pins in there, as well as (what i think to be) some great organizing content both from myself and other creators.

When?

  1. Monthly Rollover: This is a new routine for me, I will write a blog post later when I have gotten this down a little better, but I will take some time here to look ahead at my upcoming month and create a vision board around the goals I am working on, the activities going on for my family, and the vibe I want to create. This is most likely when I will create the vision board for the upcoming month.

*Bonus points if you take yourself to a little coffee shop to really get into it!

  2. Morning Routine: I have set aside some time for working on my “vision”. If you look back at my morning routine blog posts, linked here for reference. I will often times set a timer here for however long I have, 2-10 minutes is typical for me. I will either use this time to review my vision board or add more pins.

  3. Quarterly Review: This is my favorite time to do a quarterly vision board. I will also use this to pull other pins form for my smaller monthly board. Think more macro here, over-arching themes for this season, plans, goals, and this seasons vibe!

Some thoughts and ideas:

This is all about YOU! Your vision board will not look like mine and that is a-okay! It should look like what works for you. I love to pair all of these with some goal setting, or journaling to get clear about your vision!

You might be thinking, wow girl thats a lot. YUP! And that is okay! This is what works for me, if it does not serve you… that is okay. Leave what doesn’t work for you and please take ideas that might benefit you and where you are at in this season of life.

I have linked my own personal September board here. Take inspiration and be intentional!

Choose Simple,

Sarah
